Introduction
First Method (Old)
Second Method (New)
Conclusion
My internet speed is 100/200/500 etc. megabits, but all your channels are lagging, what should I do? How to choose your server correctly?!
Good speed, no doubt, but this is the speed within your provider's network, i.e., from your computer/smartphone to the nearest provider's server, which can be located a few hundred meters to several kilometers away from you. Unfortunately, our servers are not within this network, so the measurement needs to be done differently.
So, for comfortable TV viewing, you need to select the optimal server. You will do this by testing the speed of your internet to our servers, launching the test via the link:
http://speed.tv.in/
If this link does not work, you can try the mirror of the test:
http://speed.tv.team or http://speed.tvteam.eu
Tip from support: don't go for the aesthetics of connecting your devices to the internet for IPTV viewing, the most reliable connection is cable connectivity!!! A WI-FI connection can harm you greatly when watching IPTV, lower speed, lose internet connection.
The test should be performed following the instructions, you're doing it for yourself, not for us:
1) You should perform the test from your viewing device, be it a TV or box, i.e., from a device on which your player is installed, by entering the link aforementioned (and below) in your device's browser, otherwise what's the point of your test if it's done on a phone or computer and your player is installed on a TV;
2) The test should be performed when you're having viewing troubles, usually in the evening when the majority of the population of your community is at home and actively using the internet, roughly from 5-6 p.m. to 9-10 p.m. (on weekends this period can start earlier and last longer).
Reboot your router, wait for it to fully load, launch the test page via the link http://speed.tv.in/ (mirrors specified above), such a page will start:
Click the Old Test(1) button and this page with the test will start:
"All available servers" are selected for checking by default, but you can change this value to "All servers" or a specific server:
"All available servers" - only servers that are available for selection in your personal account are checked;
"All servers" - all servers of our service will be checked;
"4.team.ga (or some other)" - only the selected server will be checked.
Why conduct check for "All servers"? For example, the server you have selected is among the servers closed from selection, or while conducting a test to all available servers, the system pointed out to you that there are no suitable servers:
In this case, you conduct a test to all servers and perhaps a suitable server will be found amongst the closed servers. If you prove to us with the test results that the server suitable for you is only among the closed ones, we will help you get on it.
So, you've done the test and it gave you a table with results and indicated the recommended server:
You can accept the test recommendation, go to your personal account (PA) in the Settings section and choose the recommended server. After this you definitely need to update the playlist in the player!
Or you can analyze the table yourself and select another suitable server. What you should pay attention to:
Jitter - the less, the better, the main thing is not more than 10, there's no need for perfection, a stable 9 will work no worse than an unstable 2;
Speed (Download) - the higher, the better, but it's already good when it's not less than 55 megabits stable, in this case even UHD channels will work (not less than 10 megabits - only SD channels work / not less than 25 megabits - HD channels work as well). It's better to have a speed reserve here.
Once you've established a channel and maximum speed,
Support advice:
If you have several suitable servers, don't rush immediately to opt for one of them, first conduct 3-5 single measurements to each of them, if the jitter remains less than 10 in all 3-5 measurements to a certain server, then this server suits you best, even if your speed to it will be slower than it is to another server; the more measurements, the more accurate the choice.
Attention! There's no need to conduct all 3-5 tests to the server if during the first or second test the jitter or speed readings to this server appear to be unsatisfactory, proceed to the next server right away.
If as a result of conducting the test to all servers a suitable server is still not determined, then remember:
- Did you restart the router? if not, restart it and repeat the test;
- How is your device connected to the internet? if by WI-FI, then try to connect by cable, at least for a test.
The second method more accurately identifies the optimal server for your internet, but it takes much longer.
The test should be done according to the instructions, you're doing it for yourself, not for us:
1) The test should be done from the device you're viewing, be it a TV or the box, i.e., from the device where you installed the player, by entering the link above (and below) into your device's browser, otherwise why test if it's done on a phone or a computer, but the player is installed on your TV;
2) The test should be done when there are viewing problems, usually in the evening, when the majority of the people in your locality are at home and actively using the internet, roughly from 5-6 p.m. and 9-10 p.m. (on weekends this period may start earlier and last longer).
Reboot your router, wait for it to fully load, start the test page via the link http://speed.tv.in/ (mirrors specified above), such a page will start:
on this page you have the option to:
After launching the test will work for some time
and upon completion, it will give you the recommended server
The new test fully incorporates old capabilities — network statistics match.
In addition, it performs an HLS test.
You can accept the recommendation of the test, go to your personal account (PA) in the Settings section and select the recommended server. After this you definitely have to update the playlist in the player!
If a suitable server is still missing, and you don't want to connect by cable, then unfortunately, our service doesn't suit your internet.
What to do? First, try to fight with the internet provider, if this doesn't work, change the provider (or our service). Though, the provider won't be pleased with you if you try to prove something to them using tests from our form. But it turns out that even with speed tests, you can check the internet beyond the provider's network.
To do this, switch speed test to Single mode.
and press Change Server
insert for example Deutsche Telekom (or Paris (e.g. Paris Orange)).
and select Berlin from the results that appear, for instance.
Press the start of the test button
and wait.
After the test is completed, I obtained such result.
And here's a test made within the provider's network.
Nice numbers compared to the test on Berlin, but our servers are unfortunately not located within our providers' network, so nice numbers are nothing but a fiction.
You can argue with such tests beyond the provider's network in a dispute with him.
