What is a playlist? It is a text file that contains channel data, server data, and your access data. You must place this file in your player. This can be done in two ways:
- download this file and place it in the player (not recommended);
- instruct the player to do this itself by entering the playlist link (or playlist address) into the player, and the player will download the required file itself (recommended).
As a result of any changes to the playlist—changing the server, deleting or adding channels—it needs to be updated in the players on your devices.
Wait a few seconds for the changes to activate, then your actions depend on how the playlist is set up in the player:
- if the playlist is set by link (address) and if in the player settings "update playlist on player startup" is enabled, then just restart the player;
if the playlist settings are different in the player, press the "Update Playlist" button;
with this type of playlist setup in the player, the player will download the new playlist file itself and replace the old one; but sometimes in some players a glitch occurs and the playlist does not update, in that case delete the playlist in the player, delete the EPG link(s), restart the player, and set it up according to the FAQ instructions https://wiki.tv.in/ru/home/player; - if the playlist is set by file, then download the new playlist file and replace the one in the player, then press the Update Playlist button;
- the TeamPlay player updates itself after changing the server in it, but there is also an Update Playlist button in its menu; if the playlist does not update and shows the old update date, then check whether the EPG is updating at that moment and wait for the update, you can also try switching the channel;
- cloud players like ott-play (FOSS and DRM) update the playlist by restarting the player, but sometimes this does not work (in case of changes you make to the channel list in the player), then in the player you need to delete all channel categories except the All category (which you cannot delete) and restart the player;
- we do not recommend using the OTT Pleer player and therefore we have no tips or instructions for it;
why we do not recommend it is explained in the instructions, one reason being the difficulty in playlist updating.
