¶ Setting up ott-play player (FOSS, DRM).
Ott-play is a multiplatform IPTV player, available on SMART TVs, in browser, on Android set-top boxes, DUNA, MAG, AURA, SPARK etc., on Windows computers, and on mobile devices. The Windows version is implemented based on the libraries of the popular VLC player.
Currently, there are several versions of the player - OTT-play FOSS, OTT-play DRM, and Ott-play (by Alex). An archive option is available on all versions of the player.
WARNING!!! Ott-play (by Alex) player blocks Russian channels and servers, if you need these channels, then use the OTT-play FOSS player.
How to install OTT-play FOSS application. We download the apk file of the application from the link https://ottp.eu.org/www/install/android/, find it in the file manager and install. Alternatively, you can install the player via Downloader 5.8 How to install the player on Fire tv Stick.
Setting up the player (the same for all versions of the player).
We launch the player. We select the desired language.
On the next page, we select Manual setup
WARNING! You can also go to the player's Manual setup settings page if you go to player menu - Settings - Provider switch. You need this if your player is already set up in one way and you cannot get to the Manual setup page.
A page will open where you can choose to set up the player for the service in one of two ways:
1) select m3u-m3u8 playlists;
2) select TV.Team from the list of providers.
WARNING! a separate playlist is used for each method: for the first method, the playlist is named Ott-Play via M3u8 playlist, and for the second method, the playlist Ott-Play Foss Alex DRM is used.
Please pay special attention to this, don't mix up the playlists.
¶ First method:
Select m3u-m3u8 playlists
In the window that opens, select Choose playlist: 1 -
Press 1 (or another item if 1 is already filled in for you)
In the window that opens, you need to fill in two fields Playlist name and Playlist address
Click on the Playlist title: and enter any list name, for example, My or TvTeam. Save it by pressing the OK button.
Click on the Playlist address: and in the window that opens, enter the playlist address (playlist link). Select the playlist type Ott-Play via M3u8 playlist. Save it by pressing the OK button.

NOTE! for this way of setting up the player, the link to the Ott-Play via M3u8 playlist playlist type is taken, and not some other one, even if you have a test package.
Press Load playlist and in a few seconds, you can start watching the channels on the list.
¶ Second method:
In the list of providers, select our service TV.Team
On the next page, click on the line tv.team: Playlist address
In the window that opens, we enter the playlist link (playlist address) type Ott-Play Foss Alex DRM and press OK.

NOTE! for this way of setting up the player, the link to the Ott-Play Foss Alex DRM playlist type is taken, and not some other one, even if you have a test package.
After that, you need to restart the player.
The player will restart and you can start watching the channels.
¶ Player control.
Detailed player control is described here https://forum.ott-play.com/index.php?topic=2.0, but for starters, you will only need three buttons - OK, Left, and Right.
By pressing the OK button, we call up the channel list.
While in the channel list, you can bring up a list of categories (groups) of channels by pressing the Left button.
Now, when you're in the list of categories, if you press Right, you'll go back to the channel list; if you press Left, you'll go to the player menu.
If, however, while on the page with the channel list, you press the Right button, the program schedule and archive of broadcasts for the channel you're on will open. The date and time of the archived broadcasts are highlighted in red. Not every channel records an archive.
On this page, if you press the Left button, you will go back to the page with the channel list; if you press Right, the description of the selected program will open
This is simple player control with only three buttons.
